I have rarely seen this species in Black Mountain. My best sighting was at this spot during the latter part of the Covid lockdown. From a distance I could see a massive curtain of what I assumed was an unnaturally dense growth of Hovea or, more likely, of pale Hardenbergia.Instead, I was amazed to see such a dense growth of Comesperma. I walk past this spot numerous times each year and during spring/summer check for flowering Comesperma. Never have I seen a display that comes close to equalling the mass flowering during Covid.
Some of the leaves near the ground surface in the bottom of these two photographs, have their under-surfaces facing upwards to the camera, showing the glaucous (white or grey bloom on the leaves' laminas' surfaces), confirming this species identification.
