Swamp Tigertail (Synthemis eustalacta (Burmeister, 1839)), SYNTHEMISTIDAE, bottom
This was reported to Günter Theischinger at the time. Günter believed the "mismatch” was
probably the first record of an attempted copulation between species belonging to
different FAMILIES. He used the picture in a presentation at the Worldwide Dragonfly
Association's symposium in Namibia in May, 2007.
